Contrairement aux \u00e9crans LCD traditionnels qui n\u00e9cessitent un r\u00e9tro\u00e9clairage s\u00e9par\u00e9, chaque pixel d'un module OLED \u00e9met sa propre lumi\u00e8re lorsqu'un courant \u00e9lectrique est appliqu\u00e9. Cette diff\u00e9rence fondamentale permet d'obtenir une qualit\u00e9 d'image sup\u00e9rieure, notamment des noirs parfaits, un contraste \u00e9lev\u00e9 et de grands angles de vision.
