Es un tipo de <em>matriz activa<\/em> LCD en el que cada p\u00edxel est\u00e1 controlado por uno o varios transistores espec\u00edficos integrados directamente en el sustrato de vidrio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A diferencia de las antiguas pantallas LCD de matriz pasiva (como las de los primeros relojes digitales), que se basan en un direccionamiento por filas y columnas que provoca im\u00e1genes fantasma y una respuesta lenta, las pantallas LCD TFT dotan a cada p\u00edxel de su propio \u201cinterruptor de encendido\/apagado\u201d. Esto permite im\u00e1genes m\u00e1s n\u00edtidas, frecuencias de refresco m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidas y un brillo constante, incluso con \u00e1ngulos de visi\u00f3n amplios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Dato curioso<\/strong>: La parte de \u201cpel\u00edcula fina\u201d se refiere a la capa semiconductora (normalmente silicio amorfo o polisilicio de baja temperatura) depositada en capas ultrafinas -a menudo de s\u00f3lo nan\u00f3metros de grosor- sobre el vidrio. Y gracias al TFT que hay debajo, podemos abrir o cerrar esa v\u00e1lvula con una precisi\u00f3n extrema: miles de veces por segundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>En un proyecto de automoci\u00f3n que dirig\u00ed, necesit\u00e1bamos una pantalla legible bajo el sol directo del desierto (m\u00e1s de 1.500 nits). Esta es mi sincera opini\u00f3n:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Advantages_of_TFT_LCD\"><\/span><strong>Ventajas de la pantalla LCD TFT<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Madura y rentable<\/strong>: La producci\u00f3n en serie ha reducido dr\u00e1sticamente los costes. Al cabo de tres meses, el uso irregular provoc\u00f3 quemaduras visibles en los elementos est\u00e1ticos de la interfaz de usuario. Volvimos a utilizar un TFT de alto brillo con revestimiento antirreflejos y no volvimos a mirar atr\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_TFT_LCDs_Shine_Real-World_Applications\"><\/span>Donde brillan las pantallas LCD TFT: Aplicaciones reales<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Las pantallas LCD TFT dominan los nichos en los que la fiabilidad triunfa sobre el \u201cfactor sorpresa\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Imagen m\u00e9dica<\/strong>: Las pantallas de diagn\u00f3stico requieren calibraci\u00f3n DICOM, gamma estable y entregas TFT sin parpadeo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>IHM industriales<\/strong>: Resistente a vibraciones, interferencias electromagn\u00e9ticas y cambios de temperatura.
